PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) – The concern about influenza has increased significantly in Oregon.
Centers for Disease Control and Prevention announced last week that 25 people were admitted to hospital due to influenza.
December 20 to January 5 and more than twice the week before 12.
Oregon and Washington are still low-level businesses while many other states are in the high category.
The CDC has declared nationwide up to 7.3 million people have been affected by the influence so far this season.
This week, the Providence hospitals announced restrictions on visits.

FOX 12 spoke with Multnomah County officials about the increase in flu cases.
"Things have been sputtering for a couple of weeks, but things have improved in late December, we expect the peak of the flu season to occur later in the month or February, which means good time now for get flu shots, "said Paul Lewis with Multnomah County Health.
The CDC states that influenza is present in every state, thirty states have reported widespread flu activity, including Washington.
This happens from 24 states the week before.
Despite all this, CDC said the influence is having a milder season than last year.
