Jürgen Klopp confirmed Joel Matip and Jordan Henderson will return to training before Liverpool's trip to Brighton and Hove Albion on Saturday.
Matip, who was excluded from surgery on a collarbone fracture sustained against Naples on December 11, attended the Thursday session with his teammates.
Henderson, meanwhile, will participate in Friday's workout training at Melwood before the Reds departure for the south coast after recovering from a shot at Manchester City earlier this month.
However, the Reds will be without Adam Lallana and Dejan Lovren, while Joe Gomez is not yet ready to return while continuing his rehabilitation from a broken leg
Klopp said at his pre-match press conference: "Joel he trained yesterday for the first time with the team, which is already very good, but we have to see.
"We have to decide day by day how it is, I'm not 1
"Hendo will train for the first time today, see what exactly means then." Adam [is] Dejan [is] out and Joe, obviously, [is] out.
"Everyone is improving obviously, this is clear . I do not know if some are available and for some I know they are not available, so this is the situation. "
Lovren became the last concern for injuring Liverpool when he was asked to be replaced after just six minutes from the FA Cup winners at Wolverhampton Wanderers on Monday evening
When asked how long he would have waited without the services of the central defender, Klopp replied: "I do not know. It is serious, otherwise it would sound, but it is not serious. It's a muscular thing and I would expect it to come back after maybe Crystal Palace, I'm not sure. We must see. "
