Kanye West has been a vocal supporter of President Trump since the 2016 election. According to the New York Times, the rapper is headed to Washington to have lunch with the president
Kanye West is in the house – the White House, to be precise.
The rapper, who became one of the most famous supporters of Trump's celebrities, visited the president at the White House for a scheduled meeting on Thursday afternoon. West had lunch with roast chicken and fingerling potatoes for lunch with Trump, Jared Kushner and Ivanka, the other Kid Rock musician and Hall of Fame, who banished Jim Brown.
After running to embrace Trump in the Oval Office, West told reporters that Trump gave him "a cloak of Superman" to help do good … My father and mother went separated so there was not much male energy in my house and even I am married to a family where, you know, there is not much male energy. It's beautiful, though. "
The rapper, who wore a red "Make America Great Again" red cap, also reiterated his statement that "they tried to scare me not to wear this hat", as he did he during his recent appearance in the opening season of "Saturday Night Live".
West then gave a 10-minute soliloquy that dropped an F bomb, shared the password with his phone (apparently is 0000 ), compared his rhetorical style to "good wine" "(" has complex notes "), announced he was misdiagnosed with bipolar disorder and instead was simply deprived of sleep.
"Let's stop worrying about the future all we have today," he continued. "Trump is on his hero's journey. He could not have thought he would have a madman (cursing) like (me)."
"C & # 39; it was something I put this hat on, made me feel like Superman, "Kanye West said of his hat MAGA. "Only after 2024", clarified the rapper.
Kid Rock, another celebrity Trump, watched the president sign the landmark Music Modernization Act, which guarantees increased and faster royalty payments for artists, songwriters and producers.
The Detroit musician arrived around 11 and posed for photos with the White House Kellyanne Conway's advisor in front of the West Wing Colonnade. After the signing ceremony, he said: "Everyone knows that this music is a rather dirty activity … But this is a great start to protect songwriters, producers, engineers – the heroes not celebrated behind many of these songs that go out there. "
Turning to Trump, he added" There's a lot of people in this country that give you a lot of credit for everything you've done for this country. " people do not give you as much as they possibly should sometimes. "
This is not the first high-profile meeting between Trump and one of the two musicians. Kid Rock visited the Oval Office in April 2017 and West went to the Trump Tower in December 2016, where he discussed "multicultural issues" with the then elected president and posed for the photo in the building lobby.
The White House has confirmed that West will meet with the president, with the secretary of the White House Sarah Sanders stating that the their topics of conversation will include "manufacturing rebirth in America, prison reform, how to prevent group violence and what can be done to reduce violence in Chicago."
West Kim Kardashian's wife also visited Trump in the White House several times, before meeting Trump to support the case of Alice Marie Johnson, a 63-year-old grandmother who spent more than two decades in prison on drug charges After Trump granted clemency to Johnson, Kardashian went back to the House Bianca for an ison reform meeting.
West's visit comes after he has canceled his social media account after his appearance in "Saturday Night Live", where he wore his "Make America Great Again" hat to make an impromptu speech that praises Trump and criticize the Democrats. West has noticed that the white people ask him: "How do you like Trump, is he a racist? Well, if I was worried about racism, I would have come out of America a long time ago."
